JAMMU, Jan 31: Martyr’s Day was observed with multifarious functions at Youth Club Palma, Moolimuhri and Government Higher Secondary School, Chhatral in Poonch and Rajouri Districts.
A large number of students and teachers from schools and colleges attended the celebration with great zeal and enthusiasm.
During the celebration, various aspects touching the biography of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi were highlighted by the speakers.
The attendees came to know how Mahatma Gandhi had led India to Independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom.
People took pledge to shun away violence and walk on the path guided by the ‘Father of the Nation’.
