JAMMU, Jan 31: Viklang Chhatra Trust has sought intervention of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in opening Specialized eye operation theatres in J&K Sub district hospitals in general and Akhnoor Sub district Hospital in particular so that the patients suffering from Cataract can get better facilities of treatment and operation.
The Founder Organiser of the Trust, Satya Pal Saraf in a letter to Prime Minister while giving background of his organization, said that his organization has organized 127 eye camps in far flung areas and restored the vision of 7000 patients so far. In the letter Saraf said that in absence of Special Eye Operation Theatre in SD Hospital Akhnoor the Trust can’t organise cataract surgery camps.
It said the Trust had earlier made umpteen appeals to J&K Government but it proved a cry in wilderness as no specialized OTs were provided in SDs of Jammu province.
