JAMMU, Jan 31: A cyclist was killed today after he was hit by a bus at Bikram Chowk, Jammu.
“Bishan Dass of Phlian Mandaal was riding on a cycle when on reaching Bikram Chowk, his cycle was hit by a speeding bus bearing registration number Jk02BK-3858,” a police official said. He said in the mishap, Bishan received serious injuries and was rushed to GMC Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The official said that a case under Section 279/337/ 304-A IPC was registered in this connection at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation started while the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem.
