J&K’s Rs 1400 cr still pending with Centre

Rs 1400 crore worth funds of the State under annual plan and other heads was pending with the Centre though just six days were left for the financial year to end.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah revealed this while replying to debate on the grants of his Ministry in the Legislative Assembly this afternoon.
He said Rs 1800 crore of the State were pending with the Centre till few days back. He asked Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather as to how much amount was exactly pending till date and then told the House that it was Rs 1400 crore.
Omar said he would take up the matter with Finance Minister (P Chidambaram) soon after his return from South Africa. He said that financial scenario of the Union Government was also not good.
He said the Government was considering setting up of a third Guest House at Raja Ji Marg in New Delhi.
