* Union to observe ‘Kaam Chhor Hartal’ on Feb 7

POONCH, Feb 5: PHE Daily rated ITI consolidated trained CP workers today staged protest demonstration at Mandi PHE headquarter and called for ‘Kaam Chhor Hartal’ on February 7.
A large number of PHE workers today gathered at PHE headquarter Rajpura Mandi who came from Sawjain, Loran, Sathra, Fathepur, Galipindi, of Mandi region under the leadership of Fayaz Ahmed Chowdhary and raised slogan in favour of their long pending demands.
They were demanding release of the pending wages of the last four years and their regularization while shouting slogans against the department concerned and the Government.
Fayaz Ahmed Chowdhary and several other workers addressed the gathering and strongly criticized the higher authorities for not releasing their wages. They alleged that neither the previous Government completed the process of their regularization nor released their pending wages despite assurances even on the floor of the Assembly House.
They narrated that their families have been facing so many difficulties given the non releasing of the pending salaries by the department concerned. Even they are unable to pay the school fees of their children.
They alleged that the Jammu and Kashmir UT Government has also turned a deaf ear towards their plight. They urged upon the LG and the concerned Advisor to address their long pending issues on humanitarian grounds. If the Government failed to fulfil their demands, they will come on roads in coming days.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Union, Fayaz Ahmed Chowdhary appealed the workers to observe ‘Kam Chhor Hartal’, on February 7 at district level.
