KATHUA, Mar 26: A police party of P/S here today, during patrolling duty at City Chowk here today intercepted one Motor Cycle without registration number and apprehended three persons namely Sheetal Singh son of Jagjit Singh R/o Ward No. 5 Kathua, Raj Kumar @ Raju son of Rattan Chand R/o Ward No. 06 Kathua and Ajay Sharma @ Viky Commando son of Som Nath R/o Ward No. 3 Kathua.
During their personal search police recovered 110 Nos. capsules of Par-van-Spas from their possession. A case FIR 101/2013 U/S 8/21/22/27 NDPS Act stands registered against the arrested accused.
On information provided by the three accused police further conducted a raid in the house of one Mool Raj R/o Lakhanpur and recovered ‘1.5 Kgs of Charas’. Cognizance of the recovery has been taken vide FIR No.; 47/2013 of PS Lakhanpur U/S 8/20 NDPS Act.
Meanwhile, a police party of P/S Kathua on a specific information conducted a raid at Sakta Chack Kathua and apprehended one person namely Som Dass son of Haria Chand R/o Sakta Chak and recovered 40 liters (Desi) Illicit liquor from his possession. A Case FIR No. 103/2013 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered against the arrested accused.
