People of border areas upset due to lack of basic facilities

POONCH, Feb 7: Suffering from continuous shelling of Pakistan, the people living in the border belt are facing problems due to lack of basic facilities.
Reports said hundreds of people live in the remote rural areas bordering Indo-Pakistan LoC in Balakot and Mankot tehsils of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch District. Local resident Mohammad Khadim said that they always live under the shadow of death and it is not known when the firing will be from Pakistan. ” We have our breakfast in the morning, but in the evening we do not know whether the food will be destined or not, despite all this, we are deprived of basic facilities.”
Another resident, Mohammad Zahid also revealed his pain. He said today Government makes big claims. They claim, ” We are providing every facility to the people living along the border, but how are we living life at the ground level today, only we know,” Zahid narrated.
People further told that they are not getting the benefits of the schemes made by the Central Government, but those people who are close to the leaders, do get the benefits. No proper information is provided about the schmes. And if they go to the office of a department regarding problems, then the officer concerned gives time of several days and they get exhausted in this exericise and leave any hope.
People of border areas have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu that those residing along the LOC be given more attention due to suffering sufferings.
