JAMMU, Feb 8: The J&K branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was awarded with best State level branch at 70th annual award function of the institute organized at New Delhi.
The award was presented by Chief guest, Om Birla, Speaker of Lok Sabha and guest of honour, Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs to the J&K branch which was represented by its Chairman, CA Shalay Razdan and CA Vinay Jamwal, Treasurer, in presence of CA Prafulla Chhajed, President ICAI and CA Atul Kumar Gupta, Vice- President ICAI.
The awards are presented annually to the best performing branches of ICAI across all regions taking into consideration various parameters of excellence in performance. Under the chairmanship of CA Shalay Razdan, the branch successfully conducted numerous continuing professional education programs including certificate and diploma courses where eminent speakers participated from all over the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that J&K Branch of ICAI has been awarded for the first time at National level amongst 164 branches and 34 foreign chapters of ICAI.
The other members of Executive Committee of J&K Branch of ICAI comprise of CA Lalit Kumar Gupta (Vice Chairman) , CA Nakul Saraf (Secretary) and CA Arvind Dev Jamwal (Chairman JKASA).
