JAMMU, Feb 9: To revive the ancient culture of Kashmir and keep the younger generations abreast of their past legacy, Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, (SSK) Anand Nagar Bohri today released a new Calendar for year 2020-2021 with portraits of great Shivacharya Acharya Abhinav Gupt, great king and warrior of medieval Kashmir, Laltaditya, great Shiv Yogni, Laleshwari and Shri Bhat a renowned doctor of Indian System of Medicines of 15th century.
The calendar was released at a simple ceremony held at Sanjeevani Kendra here which was presided over by Prof P N Trisal. The other dignitaries on dais included Kuldeep Raina president Kheer Bhawani Manzam Trust, B L Marhata a senior functionary of the Kendra, H N Pandita president of the Kendra, Prof Sandeep and D N Raina general secretary of the Kendra.
The social activists and prominent persons of the community attended the function in which it was informed that with the medium of this calendar a door to door public contact and awareness programme will be held. The people will be also apprised of the contributions of these legendaries and shining stars on this universe who gave recognition to Kashmir all over globe.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof P N Trisal asked the community that they should feel proud of their glorious past. He said Kashmir has produced great world famous scholars and legendaries who included great warriors, philosophers, doctors and saints. “We should feel proud of them and keep their legacy intact”.
He while referring to rich Shiva philosophy of Kashmir, said Acharya Abhinav Gupt who is said to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva was a great philosopher and there is no parallel to him. Kashmiris had great belief and faith in this philosophy and that is we celebrate Maha Shivratri in a unique way.
On the occasion the gathering was informed about this year’s Maha Shivratri Samaroh being organized by Kendra on October 22 at Abhinav Theatre in which Swami Shree Gyananand Ji Maharaj of Geeta Giyan Sansthan Bindraban (UP) will be the chief guest.
The meeting also said that Padamshri Dr K N Pandita has been nominated as convener of the Smiti and he will preside over the programme. Kanwal Peshin of Athrot, Sandeep Kumar , Radhaysham Ji, Aryan Ramesh, Rajinder Raina , M K Bhat were among others present on the occasion.
