Govt forms committees for conduct of Investors Summit

JAMMU, Feb 11: For successful hosting of J&K Investors Summit-2020, Government of the Union Territory has constituted five committees for the mega event.
To approve expenditures, procurement of material, registration of participants, finalization of venues for road shows etc, eight-member Empowered Committee has been constituted with Administrative Secretary, Industries & Commerce as the Chairman.
17-member Reception, Accommodation, Venue and Exhibition Management Commit-tee as well as six-member Processing of Proposals/MoU Committee are also headed by Administrative Secretary, Industries & Commerce.
Traffic, Security and Transport Committee is headed by Administrative Secretary, Home Department while Administrative Secretary, Information Depart-ment is heading Media and Publicity Committee.
These committees may co-opt any officer or expert in their deliberations. Reception, Accommodation, Venue and Exhibition Management Commi-ttee as well as Processing of Proposals/MoU Committee shall meet on weekly basis or as and when required and submit feedback report to the Empowered Committee after every 15 days, which in turn shall place the same before Apex Committee and Advisory Committee.
