DODA, Feb 13: In a bid to provide platform and explore the singing talent of the youth, Range Police Headquarters DKR Range, Batote under the supervision of Bhim Sen Tuti, DIG DKR Range organised Talent Hunt Programme ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ under Civic Action programme (CAP) at Town Hall, here today.
The singing artists from the districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban participated in the event.
Dr Sagar D. Doifode, Deputy Commissioner Doda was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mumtaz Ahmed, SSP Doda was the guest of honour. Additional SP Doda, Master Poppsy was the special guest.
Out of a total of 25 participants, 9 were selected by the jury, with 3 each in three categories-A, B and C.
The first three position in A category (5 to 12 years) went to Adil Farooq, Smridhi Sen and Mamta Shan, while in B category (13 to 18 years), the first position was bagged by Sohaib Ahmed, the second place went to Divya Bharti and the third position was claimed by Anuj Sharma.
The participants, who were selected in C category (19 to 25 years) were Touqir Ali, Anil Kumar aand Natasha.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners were presented a cash award of Rs 7000, 5000 and 3000 respectively along with certificates and trophies.
Remaining 15 participants were given consolation prizes with a cash award of Rs 500, certificate and trophy.
