RAMBAN, Feb 15: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Haseeb-ur-Rehman interacted with media persons of district at police headquarter here today.
The interaction was attended by the Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar, DySP Headquarters Asgar Ali Malik, representative of Information Department Vijay Kumar, prominent media persons including Parvaiz Mir, Mohammad Taskeen, Shubam Anthal, Tahir Mushtaq, Bilal Bali, Nawaz Rounyal besides other media persons of district Ramban.
During the interaction, the participants highlighted the various social issues besides raising the problems being faced by the media men in field while covering the events and other incidents across the district. They stressed upon the SSP to improve coordination between police and media fraternity for reporting the facts.
While addressing the media persons, SSP Ramban appreciated the role of media in curbing crime and maintaining peace in the society and timely reporting besides highlighting issues of general public which needs early administrative intervention.
He further enumerated the priorities such as maintaining law and order, make crime free society, launch crusade against the drug, building close relationships with the public as they are the eyes and ears of the administration to eradicate evils as well as crime from this district besides regulate traffic to decrease the rate of accidents in district.
