Pvt Schools Association calls on DSEJ, highlights grievances

JAMMU, Feb 15: A deputation of executive members of central body of J&K Private Schools Association along with representatives of all District heads from Jammu Province called on Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu.
The deputation under the chairmanship of Rameshwar Mengi, apprised the Director about the difficulties being faced by the most of the Private schools in getting results of their students confirmed / countersigned from the Chief Education Officers / Zonal Education Officers at the closer of academic session due to the adaptation of different nomenclature by the Chief Education Officers / Zonal Education officers (varying from District to District).
General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Gupta demanded an order / circular having immediate instructions for all CEOs/ZEOs to adopt uniform procedure for the entire Jammu Division for the confirmation of result for the Academic Session 2019-20 (Winter/Summer Zone) as done in the preceding years to prevent exploitation of the students by unrecognized schools, to facilitate smooth transfer of students from one recognized school to another and to prevent commercialization by some Private schools.
Members also demanded universal application of all policies by the Government to recognize all types schools which are having same nature of work and still left unbridled viz crèches, toddler care centers, pre – primary and nursery schools to check unwanted growth and mushrooming in this venture.
Director listened to the members patiently and said that the Government was keen to frame a policy to bring a transparent system to stop unwanted mushrooming, exploitation and harassment. She also promised to issue an order for confirmation of result of Private schools for the Academic Session 2019-20.
The members in the deputation included Ajay Singh, Gansara Singh, K S Singh, Manohar Lal Gupta, Sat Paul Sharma, Mohd Latief, Siddheshwar Sadotra and others.
