JAMMU, Feb 15: Pradesh Mahila Congress today staged protest against BJP Govt for its alleged failure in controlling prices of essential commodities, especially the LPG cylinder.
A large number of Mahila Congress activists under the leadership of former MLA and J&K Unit president of Mahila Congress Indu Pawar assembled at Press Club and held protest demonstration. They were carrying banners in their hands depicting concern over price hike.
While talking to media-persons on the occasion, Indu Pawar said that the recent steep hike in LPG cylinder has affected common man and house-wives will not be able to absorb this shock of Rs 144 hike in the price of demostic gas cylinder. It will affect them badly.
She alleged that BJP Govt is giving shock after shock to the public of this country may it be essential goods or other affairs of day to day, common man feels deceived and cheated as all promises of `SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKAS’ have proved a mirage. Business man has not recovered from shock of demonetization and GST. Economy is on decline and an atmosphere of uncertainty is appearing in all sections of society, Pawar added.
Others who spokes on the occasion included Vandana Makhnotra, Suman Choudhary, Veena Kumari and Rani Devi.
