UDHAMPUR, Mar 28: Dr Jatindera Singh, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and National Executive Member, kickstarted today the Party’s “Mandal” level protest programme cum campaign called  “Gram Chalo Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan” aimed at educating the masses at grass-root level about the anti-national policies of National Conference-led Coalition Government in the State.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, alongwith District President Udhampur Dina Nath Bhagat and Mandal President Majalta Bishan Das Sharma,, also participated in the protest demonstration by local BJP karyakartas (workers) against the suspension of Party President and MLA Nagrota Jugal Kishore Sharma from the Assembly session.
Addressing the party workers, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that in the State of J&K, BJP is always expected to carry the extra responsibility of fighting the anti-national forces in order to uphold the integration of J&K with the rest of the Indian Union. He said this is for the first time in the past 65 years that the ruling party Ministers and even the Chief Minister are blatantly violating the oath of office and the Constitution by challenging the supremacy of Indian Republic and by siding with terrorists like Afzal Guru, who masterminded the attack on the Parliament House which is the temple of Indian democracy.
He said the BJP has decided to reach out to the people in remote areas and make them aware of the Coalition Government’s misgovernance, which has led to widespread unemployment while the ruling party is more keen to rehabilitate the former militants. He urged upon the people to expose the Jammu based Ministers from Congress party, who are working in connivance with NC and sacrificing the interest of Jammu to stay in power.
Meanwhile, later in the day,BJP State Executive Member Nand Kishore Sharma led a similar protest at Ramnagar Mandal of district Udhampur.  Amit Sharma, Bansi Ram Sharma, Ramesh Singh, Parshotam Singh, Rajinder Singh, Sham Cerma, Raj Kumar, Mast Ram, Babu Ram, Karnail Singh and Suresh Kumar were among a large number of prominent party activists present at these protests.
