J&K ICAI organizes seminar on ‘Union Budget 2020’

JAMMU, Feb 15: The J&K Branch of ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)’ here today organised a seminar on ‘Union Budget 2020 and Offences, Penalties and Prosecution under GST Act’.
CA Vinod Gupta and CA Rajender Arora were the guest speakers on the occasion.
In the first technical session, CA Vinod Gupta discussed various amendments and changes in Income Tax Act in Budget 2020. He also gave a detailed insight on ‘Vivad se Vishwas Scheme’ recently introduced by the Government.
In the second technical session, CA Rajender Arora gave a detailed point wise presentation on Offences, Penalties and Prosecution under GST Act.
Both the speakers also addressed queries raised by the members on the subject matter.
CA Shalay Razdan, Chairman of the branch, welcomed the guests & delivered the inaugural address. He also felicitated Mehak Gupta, 11th Class Student of JK Public School who was amongst the top 200 Successful students in ‘ICAI Commerce Wizard Exam 2019’ by presenting her a Certificate of Appreciation along with Award Money.
CA Nakul Saraf, Secretary of the Branch conducted the proceedings while CA Lalit Kumar Gupta, Vice-Chairman of the branch presented the formal vote of thanks.
Treasurer of the branch CA Vinay Jamwal along with number of Chartered Accountants and CA students were also present at the occasion.
