JAMMU, Feb 15: Nami Dogri Sanstha today released a book titled “The Position of Inmates in Indian Prison System -A Comparative Study”, penned by young lawyer and daughter of Jammu, Advocate Surya Chandan who is LLM with expertise in Constitution.
Former minister Gulchain Singh Charak was chief guest on the occasion while the function was presided over by Sahitya Academy awardee Shalinder Singh, SSP Crime Jammu. Rohit Chowdhary, renowned RTI and social activist, was special guest while senior journalist s Sohail Kazmi was the guest of honour.
On the occasion, Sachin Sharma and Advocate Surya Chandan were conferred with “Proud of Duggar Award” ; former for propagating and spreading Dogri language , Duggar art, culture and legal contributions and literary endeavours .
Dogra Harish Kaila, President NDS and Capt Lalit Sharma, Convener NDS, also shared the dais.
