Ensure time bound completion of developmental projects: Mir

DOORU, Mar 28: Underscoring the need for time bound completion of ongoing developmental projects under core sectors for early benefits of the people, the  Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has stressed upon the District  Administration Anatnag to redouble their efforts for ensuring completion of all under execution projects well in time.
Chairing a  meeting of district officers to review physical and financial status of various ongoing projects being executed in Dooru constituency, the Minister said that providing of improved basic amenities to the people was top priority of the Government and exhorted upon the concerned officers that works taken up under State Plan and Flagship programmes in the Constituency should be completed in time bound manner.
District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone, ADDC N.H.Wani, Executive Engineers, PHE, PWD, PDD, District/Sectoral Officers, besides Panchs and Sarpanchs attended the meeting.
While reviewing the progress of MNERGA in the constituency, the meeting was informed that 522 works were completed with an expenditure of Rs. 4.48 crore in the constituency during current fiscal so for and under IAY scheme 242 dwelling units were completed with an expenditure of  Rs.1.33cr respectively during the period.. The work on two Panchayat Ghars has been completed upto roof level and 121 vacant posts of VLWs have been referred to SSRB to fill up these posts in the district.
