POONCH, Feb 16: Fathepur area of tehsil Mandi district Poonch are without electricity for the last 4 months.
A local resident, Saddam Hussain said that Fatehpur village is without electricity for the last about four months. The transformer which went out of order at the village (Ward 1-2), could not be restored till date and the general public is suffering badly.
The villagers have urged upon the higher authorities in the PDD to restore the power supply. The locals said to have raised some funds through their Sarpanch for the transformer’s reapir but even then the things did not improve.
Former Sarpanch Sain Munshi Rafiq said that PDD staff at Mandi do not bother despite repeated requests while general public has been left to suffer. He said 63KV transformer is insufficient and even if get repaired, it will get overloaded and again get damaged.
