KATRA, Feb 19: Acting swiftly and arresting all the accused, Katra Police has solved an attempt to murder case, which took place at old Bus Stand Katra, near main gate of Niharika Bhawan.
The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Kumar alias Deepu son of Bodh Raj Sharma of Aghar Jitto, Bablu Sharma son of Des Raj Sharma of Palma, Akhnoor, Sanjay Vaid alias Sanju son of Des Raj Vaid of Taranu (Kadmal), Katra and Rinku Sharma son of Vipan Kumar Sharma of Kalka Nagar Pardhal, Katra. Police has also recovered the weapons of offence, which included a sword, two Dharat and one Toka.
The arrested accused had attacked Sunil Sharma (28), son of Parshotam Sharma of Aghar Jitto, Tehsil Katra with sharp edged weapon and fled the scene leaving behind the victim in serious condition. A case FIR number 32/2020, under Section 307,147,109 IPC was registered in this connection at Police Station Katra.
Pertinent to mention here that Deepak Kumar alias Deepu is a hardcore criminal and murder accused in case FIR No. 66/2009 U/S 302/ 307/ 341/ 325/120-B/109/34 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Katra. He was released after seven years of convicted period.
The accused were arrested by a Police team, led by SHO Katra, Inspr Pardeep Gupta, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar Sharma and ASP Katra Naresh Singh.
