SAMBA, Feb 19 : District Police Samba has arrested one bike lifter and recovered four stolen bikes from his possession in two separate theft cases registered at Police Station, Samba.
Police said on February 12, a written complaint was lodged by one Ajay Kumar, S/O Kewal Krishan of W.No. 06 Bari Brahmana, regarding theft of his bike (Pulsar) bearing Registration Number, JK02AP-9060 from the gate of his relatives house situated at Barian in jurisdiction of PP Supwal. In this regard a case FIR No. 30/2020 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station, Samba and investigation started to nab the bike lifter.
During the course of investigation, a Police team of PP Supwal rounded up suspects and finally Mustaq Ali, S/O Sher Ali, R/O Pangore Tehsil Marh district Jammu was rounded up and after his sustained interrogation he confessed his involvement in lifting of Pulsar Motorcycle from Barian area falls under the jurisdiction of PP Supwal.
During further cross examination of the accused the three more bikes were recovered from his possession out of which one Motorcycle (Glamour) was stolen Near Laxmi Palace Bus Stand Samba for which a case FIR No. 29/2020 U/S 379 RPC was also registered at P/S Samba on the written complaint of one Sunil Dutt, S/o Gangadhar R/o Ghagwal district Samba regarding theft of his bike.
The Police has seized the other two bikes under Section 550 CrPC and further investigation is going on.
