JAMMU, Feb 20: MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas today inaugurated 100 KVA Receiving Station at Roopnagar.
Manhas was accompanied by MD JPDCL Yasha Mudgal, Chief Engineer Sudhir Gupta, Executive Engineer Neeraj Sharma, AEE Ashish Badyal and JE Vandana Manhas.
The station was created in a record time of one week as MP Manhas was apprised by the common masses of the area about the problems they were facing due to load shed in the area and especially in view of the upcoming holy festival of Shivratri it had become an urgent issue to be redressed.
Keeping in view the priority of the issue and also as the famous temple of Aap Shambhu is situated in the area wherein thousands of devotees visit during the Shivratri Mela, the MP had sanctioned funds out his MPLADS immediately.
While inaugurating the Receiving Stat-ion, Manhas lauded the efforts of Power Development Department especially MD Yasha Mudgal who personally pursued and monitored the whole work and made it possible in a record time. He also credited the ground staff headed by JE Vandana Manhas who took the task on war footing basis.
The MP and the MD JPDCL also paid their obeisance at Aap Shambhu Temple and assured the Temple committee of uninterrupted power supply during the Shivratri Mela.
