Shrine Board starts Prasad Sewa for pilgrims at Sanjichhat

JAMMU, Feb 21: For facilitation of the pilgrims, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) started a free Prasad Sewa from today at Sanjichhat located on the traditional track leading to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.
This facility at Sanjichhat will be available to the pilgrims round the clock throughout during the year. The Prasad Sewa was inaugurated by Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. A pooja was held at the site before the commencement of the Prasad Sewa.
Giving details of Prasad Sewa, Ramesh Kumar added that the Prasad Sewa will work round the clock and the pilgrims will be served halwa, black channa and tea in a well established infrastructure dedicated for Prasad Sewa. A covered waiting area has also been developed on the rooftop of the Prasad Sewa facility for the convenience of the pilgrims, particularly during rainy season and inclement weather.
This Prasad Sewa was started by the Shrine Board in its continuous endeavours for providing free Prasad facility for catering maximum number of pilgrims. It is pertinent to mention that the Shrine Board is already running a free community kitchen at Tarakote since May last year on the picturesque Tarakote Marg between Katra and Adhkuwari. The free community kitchen at Tarakote also works round the clock and the pilgrims are served meals.
Vivek Verma, Additional CEO; Hemkant Prasher, Chief Accounts Officer; Dr Jagdish Mehra and Deepak Dubey, Deputy CEOs; Manu Hansa, Assistant CEO; other officers and employees of the Board, besides a large number of pilgrims were present on the occasion.
