REASI, Feb 25: Katra Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued five animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The bovines were being smuggled in Tata Mobile vehicle, bearing registration number JK19-3730 , which was intercepted at Balni Naka. Driver of the vehicle managed to flee from the spot. Police rescued the animals and seized the vehicle. In this regard, a case FIR number 40/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 3 PCA has been registered at P/S Katra.
Meanwhile, reports said that Arnas Police rescued two bovine animals and arrested the accused smugglers, identified as Syed Mohd and Ab Gani of Gool. In this regard case FIR number 11/2020 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at P/S Arnas.
