SAMBA, Feb 25: In a Bollywood Movie style a road Romeo attacked a girl with sharp edged weapon at village Chak Medhu area of Supwal in district Samba near here, today and later committed suicide by jumping before a running train.
According to the report, the incident took place this afternoon at village Chak Medhu Basotra area of Supwal, when a girl namely Neha Devi, 26, daughter of Tarsem Lal who is working in private school at village Barian was suddenly attacked by a youth namely Himat Kumar resident of the same village with a sharp edged weapon when she was on way to her home from the School.
The girl received critical injuries and after some passers by saw her to in a pool of blood, they immediately shifted her to Emergency Hospital, Vijaypur for treatment, where doctors after giving her first aid referred her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment.
Later, the boy also committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train at Barian and died on the spot. His body was kept in the mortuary room of DH Samba for autopsy.
Sources said, the girl was serving in private school and the boy was daily chasing her, but the girl never responded him. Today the boy attacked her with a sharp edged weapon when she was going to home from the school.
In this regard Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started further investigation. SHO Samba Suraj Pathania when contacted said that police is investigating the matter and a case has been registered in relevant sections of the law.
