80 bikes seized

JAMMU, Feb 25: Nagrota police in continuation to its drive against traffic violators today carried out a unique and impressive campaign of both enforcement and education.
A unique initiative was taken by Nagrota police, where people following traffic rules were greeted with flowers to encourage the others commuters also.The traffic violaters were also educated uniquely by showing them mirror to discourage others violaters in addition to the challans.
Besides this, 80 bikes have been seized for different traffic violations and more than 200 vehicles challaned under different sections.
SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma said the objective of this initiative by police is to ensure the safety and security of the public so that many precious lives which are lost due to negligence by the commuters can be saved.
He sought cooperation from all stakeholders to make this initiative successful.
The drive was carried out by Inspectors Mohd Shokat, SHO Nagrota,Inspector Rajesh Khajuria SHO Jhajjar Kotli and Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, Incharge PP Sidhra.
