JAMMU, Mar 29 : Alleging that the Jammu and Kashmir Government has failed on all fronts, BJP today announced a campaign to “expose the anti-people and pro-separatist” Coalition Government and announced the launch of,’ Gram Chalo-Ghar Chalo Abhiyaan’, at mandal level.
“BJP will launch a campaign, ‘Gram-Chalo Ghar-Chalo Abhiyaan’ in the State, to expose the anti-people and pro-separatist Government,” Party’s State president Jugal Kishore Sharma told reporters here today.
Announcing the launch of the campaign, the BJP leader also attacked Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for his remarks over the accession of the State to Indian in the State Assembly.
“This Government, by talking on the pre-1953 status and raising questions on the integration of State with India is only misleading the masses,” he said.
“Public has lost faith in this Government and BJP is going to ‘Janta Darbar’ to expose this coalition through ‘mandal’ level programmes,” he said.
Sharma said that NC-Congress Coalition Government has “failed on all fronts” and is making repeated attempts to escape the public wrath in the current Session of the Assembly.
He said Omar Abdullah Government has no reply to questions raised regarding discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh and developmental activities. Whosoever raises these issues is thrown out of the House by Marshals, while those raising anti -national slogans and expressing sympathies with terrorists like Afzal Guru are paid due attention and even the adjournment motions are being accepted.
Jugal was flanked by Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, other MLAs Ch Sukhnandan and Shyam Choudhary.
Ashok Khajuria said that Government of India has failed to handle the Chamel Singh issue properly. There has been repetition of such unfortunate incidents from Pakistan side. Earlier they beheaded two Indian soldiers, he added.
He said this sort of cruelty, inhumanity, which has been evident on the part of Pakistan while dealing with India and Indians is really very sad. He urged the Union Government to publish the post mortem report of what led to death of Chamel Singh and pressurize the Pakistani Government to conduct the inquiry about the torture and custodial killing and punish the culprits.
