SRINAGAR, Feb 26: The employees of Town Drainage Division (TDD), Kashmir (UEED) has appealed Lt Governor GC Murmu to save their service benefits either by deputing them back to UEED Kashmir or allowing them to continue with Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir.
In a memorandum addressed to the Lt Governor, the aggrieved employees while expressing resentment over the Government Order number 43-JK (HUD) of 2020 dated 04-02-2020 issued by Housing & Urban Development Department, said that their service benefits had not been taken care of while issuing the order.
“We employees of Town Drainage Division, Kashmir basically were borne on the establishment of UEED, J&K and in the year 2005, our division erstwhile Data Collection Division, UEED, Srinagar was renamed as Town Drainage Division affiliated to Urban Local Bodies Kashmir and kept under the administrative control of Director ULB Kashmir and our salary is being drawn by debt to Non-plan State Sector,” they submitted.
The employees said that they have been working in Town Drainage Division Kashmir for last so many years but in the recent Government order, they have been asked to join Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) where there is no facility for them with regard to their seniority and other service benefits.
“Keeping in view these facts, we employees of Town Drainage Division, Kashmir humbly request you to look into the matter in order to save our service benefits by deputing us back to UEED Kashmir or allow us to continue with ULB Kashmir so that our benefits are saved in all aspects,” they added.
