Lucknow, Feb 26: The successful home-coming of Kashmiri Hindus to their home-land is going to be the real ‘litmus-test’ of the policies, principals and the path of BJP Government, rest of the issues are just meandering outside the periphery of the pivotal issue. Saying this, the renowned social activist and co-founder of ‘Roots in Kashmir’ Susheel Pandit paid homage to the great hero of freedom struggle Veer Damodar Sawarkar in a tribute-meeting on his death anniversary, jointly organized by ‘Sawarkar Vichar Manch’ and ‘Panun Kashmir’ in Lucknow today. ‘Our country is encountering such situation when the thoughts, contributions and sacrifices of Veer Sawarkar become relevant and we can overcome the crisis by adopting Sawarkar’s ideology’, Pandit said.
Addressing intellectuals and member of the civil society of Lucknow, Susheel said that we have already come on that point when retreat will be suicidal. Shaheenbagh like experiments are happening just to create turmoil in the country. When few person portrayed themselves like ‘messiah’, actually destroyed the country by dividing India on the name of Islam, exactly the same situation and environment is being created by the same hybrids & by-products. The villains were projected like heroes and the real heroes were described villains, this is the irony of our history and the treachery of the intellectuals and historians. Now the time is ripen when we must establish our great heroes like Sawarkar, Netaji, Azaad, Bhagat Singh and many others, Pandit added. Susheel said that there is a great need of doing deep academic research on Veer Damodar Sawarkar.
The convener of the meeting Dr. Ajay Dutta Sharma demanded to establish an academic seat on the name of Veer Damodar Sawarkar in Lucknow University. Ex Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University Dr. SP Singh was also present in the meeting. Shailendra Dubey, leader of electrical engineers association, Major General AK Chaturvedi, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan and Professor Ramakant also expressed their views. Ashok Pandey conducted the meeting. Sarvesh Chandra Dwivedi Director ‘Rashtradharma’, Ravi Kachru and Ravindra Kotru of ‘Panun Kashmir’, JP Pandey of BJP and many others paid homage to the great hero Veer Sawarkar.
