Man booked for restricting traffic cop from discharging duties

JAMMU, Feb 27: A man has been booked for restricting a traffic police cop from discharging his duties.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by SgCt of Traffic Police Department Darshan Kumar, son of Late Vishwa Nath of Tehsil Marh with Police Station Janipur stating that a man identified as Azam Akhter, son of Mushtaq Ahmed of High Court Road Janipur has restricted him from performing his legitimate duties near High Court road.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 19/2020 under section 353 IPC (offence of assaulting or using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duties) and 332 IPC (voluntarily causes hurt to any person being a public servant in the discharge of his duty as such public servant) with Police Station Janipur and arrested the accused.
Later, the accused was bailed out by the court.
