Mankotia calls on Lt Governor

JAMMU, Feb 27: Balwant Singh Mankotia, former Legislator today called on the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu here at the Raj Bhavan.
Mankotia apprised the Lt Governor about the various issues of public importance of Udhampur area pertaining to the upgradation & strengthening of road network, Solid Waste Management, developing sports infrastructure, multi-storey parking, traffic management, augmentation of drinking water supply, establishment of New Agricultural University for Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Reasi with headquarters at Udhampur, inclusion of newly created wards in Devika Project, extension of Government Women College and development of effective management to tackle monkey menace etc.
He also raised issues related to toll rate at Ban Toll Plaza and opening of fully-fledged drug de-addiction centre.
Lt Governor assured him that all the genuine issues and demands put forth by him would be looked into at priority for their early redressal and urged him to continue working towards promoting public welfare.
