National Conference on ‘Recent Trends & Challenges in Pharmacy Education’ held

JAMMU, Mar 1: Aryans Pharmacy College, Rajpura, near Chandigarh organized a National Conference on “Recent Trends and Challenges in Pharmacy Education in India” at its campus.
Students and faculty of Diploma Pharmacy, D Pharmacy, B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy from others colleges of Punjab and Haryana also participated and presented papers in the conference.
Dr Ashish Baldi, Registrar and Dean, MRS-PTU, Bathinda, Dr Pawan Krishan, Professor, Pharmacy Practice, Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr Raj Kumar, Professor, Medical Chemistry, Central University, Bathinda and Dr Randhir Singh, Professor, Pharmacology, MM Deemed University, Mullana were the guest speakers on the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
Dr Ashish Baldi stressed upon practical knowledge of Pharmacy in day to day life.
Dr Pawan Krishan highlighted rational use of drugs and focused that medication error including prescription errors, dispensing errors, administration errors etc must be taken care off before dispensing medicines to patients.
Dr Raj Kumar told about the importance of right content of information like reference books, journals, eBooks etc used by the students.
Dr Randhir Singh highlighted the career opportunities after pharmacy studies in both teaching and industries. He also evaluated Poster and Oral Presentations of the students.
Best Poster Presentation award was given to Sanya from RIMT University, Gobindgarh and best Oral Paper Presentation award was given to Abhishek Tiwari from MRS-PTU, Bathinda.
Principal, Aryans Pharmacy College, Krishna Singla, Principal, Aryans College of Pharmacy, Dr Shruti Walia, Kalindi Madaan, Organizing Secretary, Manjit and Pardeep were among others present on the occasion.
Students of MRS-PTU, Bathinda, RIMT, Gobindgarh, Sadbhavna College, Barnala, Global College, Amritsar, Swift Group, Patiala and Rayat Bahra, Kharar were also present.
