DC Kargil takes stock of developmental works

KARGIL, Mar 1: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary today conducted an extensive tour of Darchiks, Garkone, Chiktan, Sanjak and adjoining villages during which he took stock of the ongoing developmental works and listened to the issues, grievances and developmental concerns of the people.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil Sonam Chosjor, SDM Shakar Chiktan Ghulam Mehdi, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kargil Ghulam Muhammad, Tehsildar Kargil, Tehsildar Shakar Chiktan, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, I&FC, PDD, PDC, CMO, CEO, AD FCS&CA besides other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the tour.
To take first hand appraisal of the developmental needs and demands of the people, the DC met a number of delegations at Garkone, Sanjak, Shakar, Chiktan and adjoining villages who projected their demands. The DC gave a patient hearing to all developmental concerns and demands of the people assured them that all genuine concerns would be addressed in a phased manner.
He also held a meeting with the DC Leh Sachin Kumar Vaishya at Dah Biamah village on the land boundary issue between Garkone and Dah Biamah village and after thorough discussion on the various aspects of the issue with the revenue officers and prominent citizens of both villages, the long pending issue was resolved amicably on spot and the boundary was demarcated accordingly.
Meanwhile, committees were framed under the chairmanship of ADC Kargil and SDM Khaltse and the concerned revenue officers from both districts were directed by the DCs to ensure formal demarcation of the boundary and prepare the revenue map and other papers within 2 days time.
Later, the DC also visited Community Health Center Chiktan and inquired from the concerned officers about the availability of healthcare facilities to patients in the health institution. He also took stock of the ongoing construction work there and instructed the concerned to complete the construction work by the March ending.
The DC also inspected the preparedness for Coronavirus at the screening centres set up at Khangral for screening of passengers and instructed the medical teams there to strictly follow the protocols laid down by the WHO and the Government of India.
