NMC demands release of 4 pc DA

JAMMU, Mar 1: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister and MoS Finance to release the pending instalment of four per cent DA due from January 1, 2020 for both Central and J&K Government employees and pensioners.
Addressing NMC workers meet here today, NMC president, Subash Shastri urged the Government to accept recommendations of report by Ashok Lavasa Committee to remove pay/pension anomalies in the lower grade staff of Government employees and pensioners, so that lower class employees and pensioner may have a sigh of relief from rising prices and inflation.
“The Committee has recommended minimum pay scale/pension to Rs. 21,000 beside removal of all pay anomalies in respect of lower grade staff of Central Government and UT employees and pensioners,” Shastri said.
He pointed out that recommendations of 7th Pay Commission have not benefited the lower class of Government employees and pensioners.
The NMC leader also demanded enhancing of medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 per month for J&K UT pensioners.
Those who were present in the meeting were Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Gara Ram, Suraj Parkash and others.
