JAMMU, Mar 1: Week long workshop on Photography and UI-UX Design organized by Department of Applied Art at Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu concluded at the studios of the Institute.
Ashwani Sharma, President Press Club Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof Satnam Kaur, Principal, IMFA and T S Batra, Former Principal of IMFA were the guests of honour whereas senior artist Jang S Verman was the special invitee in the valedictory ceremony.
In his address, Ashwani Sharma said that the students have done a good job and should work hand in hand with the outside world also to explore more possibilities in the field of applied art. He also had interactive talk with the participants of the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, TS Batra appreciated the activities organized by IMFA for the betterment of the faculty and students of the Institute.
Prof Satnam Kaur, Principal, IMFA, said that there is a lot of talent among the students of IMFA and they need to be projected at proper platforms.
Earlier, Rakesh Sharma, HoD, Applied Art and Coordinator of the event welcomed the guests.
The participants of the workshop were given away the certificates of participation.
Academic and practical sessions on UI-UX Designing and Photography were under taken by the expert resource persons during the workshop and the practical work as output was displayed during the programme.
Faculty members of Applied Art, Fine Arts and Music of IMFA viz Sukhjit Singh, Dr Milan Sharma, Bahadur Singh, Suraj Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Vineeka Gupta, Jasleen Singh, Rachita Dutta, Jigmit Palmo and others were present in the programme of Interactive Activity of IMFA being organized by the Institute for last few years to have a better interaction between the students and staff of IMFA with the professionals and academicians working in the field.
