NIA court frames charges against members of narco-terrorists gang

JAMMU, Mar 2: Special Judge NIA Subash C Gupta today framed charges in the much publicized narco-terrorists gang.
According to the NIA case, on the intervening night of July 8-9, 2018, Mohd Yousaf Khawaja and co-accused Mushtaq Ahmed Malik and Shabir Ahmed Gakhad were intercepted jointly by police and BSF at Said Pora Dhani Junction in district Kupwara.
From the vehicle, they were travelling in, two AK-56 Rifles, two numbers of AK 56 magazines and 56 live cartridges were recovered. At the same time, another vehicle being driven by accused Zakir Hussain Mir and wherein Rafiq Ahmed Magray was travelling was also intercepted, On the search of this vehicle, twelve packets of brown sugar were recovered.
Later, on the interrogation of accused persons house of one Alam Bhat alias Alam was searched and two UBGLS Grenades were recovered.
The court after hearing both the sides framed charges for the offences under Sections 13,18, 20 & 23 UA(P) Act, 35,7/25 A Act, 8/21 NDPS Act & 4/5 Explosive Substances Act read with Section 120- B of RPC against Mushtaq Ahmed Malik , Shabir Ahmed Gakhad , Zakir Hussain Mir, Rafiq Ahmed Magray, Alam Bhat alias Alam and Mohammad Yousaf Khawaja.
