JAMMU, Mar 30: National Panthers Party today demanded tabling of Justice H S Bedi Commission report into the death of National Conference worker Syed Mohammad Yousuf alias Haji Yousaf in the Legislative Assembly.
The issue was raised by NPP MLA from Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia during the Zero Hour in the Lower House. “Justice Bedi has submitted its report to the Government. We want the same should be tabled in the House so that general public could come to know about the findings of the Commission”, he said, adding “we have till now known the outcome of the report though press and media reports — we do not know what is factual report about it.”
He sought Speaker, Mubarak Gul’s direction to the Government in this regard. However, the request was turned down by the Speaker, who said it was not necessary. Angered by the Speaker’s statement, the NPP members staged walkout from the House.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 96-page report of Justice Bedi Commission was submitted to State  Government on December 22, 2012.
