BJP exposed on statehood, anti-youth stance: Cong

NOWSHERA, Mar 2: Lashing out at BJP for its dual standard on the issue of statehood, J&K Congress chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) said that party would fight for restoration of statehood and protection of jobs and land right to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a meeting of party workers of Sunderbani and Nowshera today Sharma said that BJP stands exposed under the issue of restoration of statehood and failure to provide jobs to unemployed youth in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Congress would fight for restoration of statehood and full protection for jobs and land rights to the locals of Jammu and Kashmir.
Former MLC said that BJP Govt utterly failed to deal with rising problems of unemployment in the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir,  control the  unprecedented price rise and maintaining peace and religious harmony in the country. He said that large number of unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir are the victims of policies of BJP and their hollow slogans, as large scale irregularities and bungling during their regime.
Spokesman further said that the entire recruitment  process has come to standstill due to prevailing uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir and one after the another anti-youth decision is being taken by the Centre Government and UT administration. He referred to withdrawal of 5 years compensation to youth of Jammu and Kashmir in Civil Services, abolishing of J&K cadre, cancelling of recruitment process in the JK Bank, withdrawal of Class- IV  vacancies, besides failure to revoke SRO 202 enforced  by the  BJP-PDP Govt in 2015.
Referring to issues of youth engaged on daily wager, need based, contractual and other temporary bases, Sharma said that these youth are craving for want  of regular wages besides others are suffering in the absence of proper regularization policy. He demanded framing of regularization policy for different cadres of daily wagers and employees of different categories in different departments.
He also referred to the problems of people living near LoC and increased border firing incidents causing threat to the life and property of border residents. He demanded early completion of all bunkers and clearing of pending payments of labour by RDD.
Som Raj Heer- Block president  Nowshera, Raj Kumar Sharma, Chander Prakash, Rajinder Singh, Krishan Singh, Ashok Sharma and others also spoke on the occasion.
