Gau Raksha Samiti suggests tagging of cattle

JAMMU, Mar 2: Jammu Kashmir Gau Raksha Samiti president Raj Kumar Gupta today appealed Lt Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and the authorities concerned to get all the cows/calves/bulls in Jammu province tagged by getting them registered with the concerned Municipalities or Panchayat.
While talking to media persons at Gau Shalla Jammu, he urged upon the Lt Governor to issue necessary orders to the concerned authorities so as to facilitate the tagging of Gau Vansh within specified span of time. Government should also ensure immediate compliance of the said order by all the owners of dairy farms/ personal owners of Gau Vansh/ cattle to get their Gau Vansh registered with JMC/Municipality/Panchayat concerned,” he added.
Mr Gupta said that tagging of cattle would help in identifying the stray cattle and their settlement in Government owned sheds to avoid accidents on roads.
