UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: Police today rescued 13 bovine animals which were being smuggled towards Kashmir valley in a truck.
Reports said that acting on some reliable information, a Police party from Police Station Kud, led by SDPO Gian Chand Sharma and SHO Ajit Singh, laid a special naka on National Highway near Karal Nallah and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02X-1781 loaded with 13 bovine animals. The animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley, were rescued while driver of the said truck managed to flee from the spot. Police however seized the Truck and registered a case under section 188/RPC, 3 PCA Act, 179 Motor Vehicle act a Police Station Kud.
