UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: Panic gripped village Thayala in block Ghordi of district Udhampur after leopard attacked a villager and left him seriously injured.
The victim, identified as Ishwar Dass, son of Bishamber Dass of Thayala, was attacked by the leopard last evening when he was on way to home after grazing cattle from nearby forest. Before some villagers came to his rescue, leopard injured him and fled.
Later the injured was shifted to hospital and his condition was stated to be stable.
