180 bags cement seized, 2 held

JAMMU, Mar 30: Police today seized 180 bags of cement of Block Development Office, Hiranagar, which were being off-loaded at Manhas Cement Store Govindpura, Chatha under the jurisdiction of Satwari police station.
Reports said police parties headed by Sub Inspector Jasbir Singh, Incharge Chatha police post under the supervision of officiating SP Jammu Rajeshwar Singh, SDPO Shivdev Singh and SHO Bishnesh Kumar intercepted truck No. 7237 JK02E when the Government cement from it was being off-loaded at Manhas Cement Store, Govindpura.
Police arrested the depot owner Ajit Singh Manhas alias Pappu son of Karnail Singh of Govindpura and truck driver Rajinder Singh son of Sujan Singh of Govindpura.
Police said the cement had been loaded in the truck from Railway Station and was meant for BDO office Hiranagar.
A case has been registered at Satwari police station for further investigations.
