GSLV-F1-/GISAT-1 mission deferred due to technical reasons : ISRO

CHENNAI, Mar 4: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday announced that the launch of Geo Imaging Satellite GISAT-1 by the indigenous GSLV-F10 at 1743 hrs tomorrow has been postponed due to technical reasons.
ISRO in a tweet said ”the launch of GISAT-1 onboard GSLV-F10, planned for March 5 (tomorrow) is postponed due to technical reasons.”
”Revised launch date will be informed in due course”, it said.
The postponement of the mission comes barely 30 minutes before the commencement of the 22-hour countdown for the mission from the Spaceport of Sriharikota.
The countdown was slated to commence at 1543 hrs today.
ISRO said the GSLV-F10, carrying the 2,268 kg GISAT-1 was scheduled to lift off from Second Launch Pad at 1743 hrs tomorrow from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharkota. (UNI)
