SAMBA, Mar 5: A mortar shell has been found at forest area of Village Khara Madana area of Parmandal in district Samba today.
According to the reports a mortar shell was found from forest area of village Khara Madana under the Jurisdiction of Police Station Purmandal in district Samba this morning, when some passers by spotted the unknown object lying in forest area. They immediately informed the police and after receipt of the information, police team rushed to the spot and immediately informed to Bomb Disposal Squad.
The Bomb Disposal team after reaching the spot took the mortar shell into their custody.
Later at around 5 pm, the mortar shell was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
