Construction of path, staircase at Kheer Bhawani demanded

JAMMU, Mar 11: A meeting of Kheer Bhawani Asthapan, Manzgam in Kulgam district of South Kashmir was held under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Raina its president here, today in which the developmental activities of the shrine were reviewed.
The meeting reiterated its appeal to the Government to construct a path and stair case up to the ancient Sandal tree which is unique in North India situated on the hillock of the shrine. The meeting said despite repeated pleas to the Government no steps were taken in this regard despite the fact large number of devotees used to visit the shrine on annual festival of Zesht Ashtami to have the darshan of Mata Kheer Bhawani and the Sandal tree.
The meeting also decided to install CCTVs at the shrine this year besides starting construction of more rooms in the vicinity of the shrine to cater to the heavy rush of the pilgrims. It appealed the DC Kulgam and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Migrants that in view of increasing rush of pilgrims on occasion of Zeshashtami falling on May 30 elaborate arrangements be made.
The meeting said a large number of devotees are approaching the Sanstha for having pilgrimage of holy shrine this year.
The other participants included Vijayshanker Lahori, senior vice president of the Sanstha, Avtar Krishen Raina, Kanya Lal Raina vice presidents, Ravi Raina general secretary, Dileep Raina publicity secretary, Roop Lal Raina, Dr. Ramesh, Vinod Ji, Ravinder Raina, Sunil Raina, Sanjay Raina, Ashwani Raina and others.
