JAMMU, Mar 11: Domana police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per police sources, on January 26 this year, a complaint was lodged by Mohinder Koul, son of late Nail Kanth of Suryavanshi Nagar Lower Roop Nagar Muthi with Police Station Domana stating that on December 8th last year, during marriage function of her daughter, their servant fled away with one gold chain, locket and one set of stud (topes) from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 28/2020 was registered at Police Station Domana and hunt was launched to nab the servant.
During the course of investigation, the accused identified as Deepak Kaker, son of late Subash Chander of Udheywala District Jammu was arrested and on his disclosure one gold chain, locket and one set of stud valuing Rs 1.40 lakh was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by PSI Kulvinder Dev worked out the theft case and arrested the burglar under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
