JAMMU, Mar 11: Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha (KKHMS) has expressed serious concern against the dilly dallying tactics of the Government in reforming the voting system for them.

Ramesh Chander Mahajan said that it has been observed that hectic process of filling of MPB form for Kashmiri migrants in recent by elections of vacant seats of Panchayats election which were announced by the J&K Election Department in February 2020 and later was withdrawn by Government has not changed.
He said so far as voting process for Kashmiri migrants is concerned it has not changed since 1996 and successive Governments failed to do any thing for bettering the same.
He said there is a lot of resentment among the migrants due to cumbersome process of filling up of M Forms which has led to a lot of resentment among the displaced people who being the bonafide voters are being deprived of their Constitutional right and Government has failed to consider this issue seriously.
He demanded that the MPB, M and 12-C forms system with other formalities for migrants should be abolished and migrant voters be brought at par with others. He also demanded Kashmiri migrants be declared internally displaced people and seven Assembly seats and one seat each in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha be reserved for them after delimitation of constituencies.
