JAMMU, Mar 12: The Department of Health & Medical Education has ordered placement of nine faculty members of Government Medical College Jammu/Srinagar on higher posts in their own pay and grade.
In GMC Jammu, three Lecturers in the discipline of Surgery have been promoted as Assistant Professors. They are; Dr Javid Iqbal, Dr Ab Hamid Wani and Dr Rajni Devi.
In GMC Srinagar, four Associate Professors have been promoted as Professor and two Assistant Professors as Associate Professors.
Dr Shaheena Parveen (Anesthesiology), Dr Abdul Hakim (Anesthesiology), Dr Manzoor Ahmad Bhat (Radio Therapy) and Dr Shafat Ahmad Tak (Paediatrics) have been promoted as Professor while Dr Abdul Hakim (Anesthesiology) and Dr Anka Aima (Anesthesiology) have been promoted as Associate Professor.
