JDA retrieves, fences 172 kanal prime land

JAMMU, Mar 12: Jammu Development Authority conducted a fencing drive and retrieved its precious land measuring approximately 112 kanal near Golf Course Sidhra area falling under revenue village Dwara and prime land measuring 60 kanal near ring road at village Bhalwal.
The joint operation was carried out by enforcement wing of JDA in co-ordination with district administration, Jammu and police authorities. The operation was conducted under the close supervision of Puneet Sharma, Director Land Management, JDA with Ghansham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu as Magistrate on spot to resolve emergent law and order issues. The police team was led by SDPO Jammu east Bikram Kumar.
Two teams were meticulously constituted for the anti-encroachment drive headed by Shruti Bhardwaj, Amit Verma, Tehsildar and Chief Enforcement Officer, JDA along with full fledged team of Khilafwarzi, Revenue and Engineering wing of JDA.
Puneet Sharma, Director Land Management, JDA has warned the public at large and land mafia/encroachers in particular to desist from disposing of the JDA land otherwise strict action shall also be taken against them at their own cost and in future such type of operation shall continue to secure and retrieve every inch of JDA land.
