Septuagenarian killed, 3 injured in vehicles collision

RAMBAN, Mar 15: A septuagenarian was killed and 3 others including Inspector were injured in vehicles collision near Champa area, falling under the jurisdiction of Batote Police Station.

As per police sources, a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK06A-1278 was on its way to Jammu from Kishtwar when it was hit by a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02CE-1186 near Champa area, resulting into on the spot death of a septuagenarian and injuries to 3 others.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
The deceased has been identified as Des Raj (75), son of Sudhane Bhagat of District Kishtwar, while the injured were identified as Inspector Vijay Bhagat (55), son of Des Raj of Kisthwar, Santosha Kumari (72), wife of Des Raj of Kishtwar and Sunil Kotwal (15), son of Bihari Lal of Padder.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
